		<description>&lt;p&gt;Your response was just right for this friend of yours.&#160; It sounds like he already knows your position on homosexuality.&#160; Like any issue, should our friends expect us to walk away from them if they practice anything in their life with which we disagree?&#160; Do we walk away from a friend if they start smoking?&#160; I think not.&#160; When&#160;a Christian shows that they will be a friend even when their beliefs or opinions are very different, then Christ&#039;s light shines brighter.&#160; I&#039;ve learned that the hard way sometimes, but in recent years applying that lesson has helped me regain a relationship with my sister who is lesbian and with another friend who is gay.&#160; Your influence in your friend&#039;s life may become greater than it ever has by your response.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
